I know all of this about myself. And I am perfectly OK with communicating it out loud, succinctly, like I just did just now.

Today's a really important day for me. It's my Berlinnaversary! Four years ago today, I landed in Berlin for the first time.

Now, if you're new here, I know what you're thinking: "But you live in London...?"

And to that, I say: Yes, you're correct.

But that's also not important. Because, friend, a Berlinnaversary is not just about Berlin.

It's about escaping a bad fit. It's about listening to your own instincts. It's about accepting that what's right for other people might not be right for you.

It's gonna be a quirky mix of people, weird academics and crazy artists and thoughtful entrepreneurs, talking all about the future of the internet for three days

Back in California for work this week. Super jetlagged, but writing this newsletter to keep my eyeballs open for a few more minutes so that I can ultimately go to sleep at an appropriate hour.

Before flying west, I spent the most delightful Sunday in this gorgeous empty coworking space to get interviewed for a London-based podcast called The Work We Do.

I can never decide how to 'reflect' best on days like this -- and then I get stressed out about how maybe I'm doing reflecting wrong, which ruins whatever reflection I was hoping to achieve, and blah.

Luckily, just as I was starting to write this note to you just now, I checked my Insta DMs and saw a suggestion from my BFF: "Make a list of the top 5! Play the birthday game!!"
