Hey, friends.
I know, I know, it's only Tuesday. But it is Kickstarter central over here, and I wanted to quickly fill you all in on what's going on for me this week. As some of you know, I've decided it's time to record another album. I'm calling it The Human Jukebox Project.
Why another album? Because I'm a singer. It's like, my main keyword. It is part of me. It's as real to me as my middle name. (Which is Lawton, by the way. A name I've found you can really pronounce properly with a British accent.) I wear a lot of hats, and I'm cool with that. But singing, for me, is something I just can't ever give up. I wouldn't make sense without it.

Hey, friends.
Holy moly, this has been a day. I filmed #entrylevelboss Episode 6 this morning, filmed the explainer video for my #thehumanjukebox Kickstarter album this afternoon, got thrown into a last-minute project, and just came back from hanging out at Kickstarter's German launch cocktail party. I even worked out! So, high-fives for everybody, and especially for those who also felt super productive today.
As we know, I've been chatting for the last couple of weeks about how to improve your communication, and get straight to what it is that you really want or need. I know I've helped some of you so far, which feels pretty gosh darn great -- but I don't want to leave any rock unturned or any assumption still assumed, so I'm going to break it down a bit further.

Hey, friends.
The gloves (and jackets) are coming off this week in Berlin. It's been hot and muggy, and there's a public transportation strike happening, so half the town is feeling really vibey, transitional, contemplative, and sweaty. The other half is racing around all over the place going to #BerlinWebWeek events and conferences -- yours truly included. Trivia fact for you: I moved to Berlin 368 days ago, purposefully for the start of #BerlinWebWeek 2014. So, I'm a little reflective on this fine Wednesday.
As I flit from conference to talk to dinner to meeting this week, I've been reminded again about how many incredible entrepreneurs I get to see on a day-to-day basis. They're all doing cool stuff. I'm talking fashiontech. Gesture-based interfaces. Artisan mobile coffee shops. Uber for adult entertainment (yes, really). My friends do excellent, weird, exciting things with their days.

Hey, friends.
Today I'm wearing my f*ck-off-pink (not actually called that) lipstick. This is generally a sign that I'm ready to step up my game. Just like when a batter crowds the plate, I am announcing my presence with authority.
In the last couple of weeks, I've been on the receiving end of a bunch of lousy, horrible, awful, no-good, very bad emails. So, for today's #entrylevelboss, I'm going play a game I just made up called "Good Email vs. Lousy Email" to demonstrate exactly what I mean when I say your email game is lame. The gist is always this:
MAKE IT STUPID-EASY FOR PEOPLE TO HELP YOU.

Hi, friends.
Ohhhh thank goodness: The video has uploaded! Finally!
This is particularly excellent news because I just got back inside from locking myself out of my flat. While waiting for my friend to bring me a spare set of keys, I stopped into a cafe where I heard some Bob Marley playing. I took a deep breath, exhaled, and began again.
And now, the video is up! This day is coming through in the ninth, I tell ya.
This is my favorite episode of #entrylevelboss to date. I call out some really specific "Don't" emails and explain why they are deceptively lousy.
So, go forth and watch....
